Guided Tours
We encourage having one of our certified museum Storytellers guide your group through our ten main museum galleries. Guided tours last approximately one hour and are offered at 10:30 am, 1 pm, and 3 pm.
Guided tours are $100 for 10 to 25 visitors and $175 for 26 to 50 visitors. One guide will accommodate a group of 25 and fewer. Two guides will accommodate groups of 25 or larger. Due to space restrictions, groups of 50 or more can be broken into smaller groups and can reserve multiple tour times.
Guided tours must be booked two weeks prior to the group’s arrival date. Late-arriving groups will begin the tour upon arrival and end at the originally scheduled time. Guided tours can be cancelled without refund if the group is more than 30 minutes late.
If you would like to add a guided tour or have questions for our group sales staff, please call 415.345.6815 or email evann@wdfmuseum.org.

Enhance your team’s creativity, communication, and collaboration skills while exploring Walt’s life story. Learn the art of storytelling from one of the most prolific storytellers of all time, Walt Disney. This two hour interactive team experience includes a gallery tour that highlights what made Walt Disney a great storyteller and how he used these skills to achieve his goals. Participants will learn how to craft a compelling story and how to apply this skill in their own lives.
Start the day in our Learning Center and discover the basic concepts of what makes a great story through the “story arc” concept. Then venture to our Awards Lobby and journey through our main galleries during a one hour tour that focuses on Walt Disney as a storyteller. Continue through the galleries to explore different parts of Walt’s personal journey. Take part in collaborative, interactive, and expressive activities within each gallery, focusing on public speaking, teamwork, knowing your audience, failure and bounce-back, and personal reflection. Conclude the tour by coming together to share reflections on the day, and discuss how to apply the art of storytelling in your personal and professional lives.
Translated Audio Guides
Groups can now enjoy a detailed audio tour of our core galleries, available in five languages: French, German, Japanese, Mandarin, and Spanish. Translated tours are included with admission and can be reserved when booking your group.
Special Exhibitions
The museum has two special exhibition spaces: the Diane Disney Miller Exhibition Hall and the Theater Gallery. The Diane Disney Miller Exhibition Hall hosts larger exhibitions and is located directly behind the main museum building. A special exhibition combo ticket is required for exhibitions in this space. The Theater Gallery—located in the lower lobby—houses smaller exhibitions. These exhibitions are included in your general museum ticket price. Please click here to view our current special exhibitions.
Film Screenings
Catch a different film every month in our Fantasia-inspired theater, which seats 114 guests. Please visit our calendar for screening times and titles. Films are FREE for members; $5 with museum admission; $10 adult, $8 youth/student without museum admission.
Summer Youth Groups
We welcome all summer youth groups to explore and learn at The Walt Disney Family Museum at a special discounted rate and are available as a self-guided or museum educator guided experience. To inquire about rates and booking instructions, please email Emily Vann at evann@wdfmuseum.org.
Guided groups will be led by our museum educators through the museum’s core galleries and can choose between one of two tour themes: the magic of storytelling and technological innovations. Tours are included with admission and are offered at 10am and 2pm with a max of 60 youths per tour time slot. Tours are reserved on a first-come, first-served basis.
Self-guided youth groups are welcome to enjoy the museum at any time during our regular museum hours. All self-guided summer groups will receive complimentary STEAM guides for each youth.
